Finance Ascent is a career simulator for high finance. You start as an analyst and get three decisions a year: what to pay, how much to borrow, how hard to dig, when to sell. Then the year plays out. Rates move, a buyer walks, a lender gets nervous, and every year you survive is harder than the last.
The game covers the desks people actually recruit for, from private equity, private credit and hedge funds to investment banking, leveraged finance, restructuring and a trading floor. Each desk runs on its own mechanics, so you learn leverage, diligence, covenants and exits by living with the consequences. Challenge runs add climate risk, with a carbon target to hit and a return floor you cannot break.
It is built for students recruiting into finance, for the societies and lecturers who teach them, and for juniors switching desks. Playing is free; a Pro plan and a cohort plan for universities and finance societies sit on top.
